Welcome to the Best Butt Exercises page. Let's be honest, when we think about our bodies, we all wish we could have
a great butt. These exercises, when done consistently with a solid
exercise program will promise just that. A FANTASTIC looking butt, that will
stop traffic!!
Let's get one thing clear, you cannot spot reduce. What this means is that
no matter what the exercise, whether it be for your butt, abs or arms you can't
do an exercise 1000 times to get rid of the fat there. To get a great looking
body you need to balance out your cardio with resistance training and good nutrition.
By eating well, performing cardio,(check out interval training to really kick
things in gear), and following our best butt exercises consistantly, you will
have a tight, awesome looking butt in no time!
One of the best exercises for toning up your butt is The Lunge. It's one of my
favourites.
When performing a lunge stand tall and have your feet forward and shoulder width
apart. Draw your belly button in toward your spine and step forward and descend
slowly bending at the hips, knees and ankles.
You want to bring your hips straight down, rather than gliding forward, this will
keep your knee between the first and second toe instead of well past your knee. Push up from the forward leg and return to starting position.
The Bridge is another excellent exercise for tighting up those glutes.
Lie flat on the floor with knees bent, feet flat and arms at your side. Draw your belly
button in activating your core.
Lift your hips slowly off the floor squeezing your glutes until you form a staight
line with your knees and shoulders.
Hold for 2-3 seconds and return to start position. Remember to exhale as to come up,
inhale as you lower.
