Climbing...

Reach the Top Adventure!

indoor climb fun

Seventeen adventurous souls came climbing with us on Saturday April 4th and had a great time! Tom and I belayed and encouraged everyone to reach just one more handhold and before we knew it we had people "topping out" and moving on to challenge themselves on more routes. Thanks to Maria and Jeremy at Climber's Rock for helping get everyone signed up and into their harness and to Brian for extra help belaying and words of encouragement. indoor climbingA special congratulations to our younger participants and their parents who brought them along! What a great example you're setting by being active with them. kids rock climbingGetting your kids involved in physical activities that they enjoy will help them adopt good, healthy habits early and avoid the pitfalls of poor health. For more on helping kids be healthy, take a look at these articles:
I couldn't help but see the great lessons that can be taken from this activity. So often we think we have gotten as far as we can go on a route but with some guidance and encouragement and a little practice anyone can reach the top. That's just what I and my staff do every day for our clients, except that instead of reaching summits, we help them to get fit, get toned, and get in the best shape of their lives. The best part is, it can be done at any age.climbing higher

Living in Halton Region provides us with lots of opportunities to find adventure without having to go on an adventure. Take the time to see what there is to do here to enjoy your fitness.

If you want to see a little bit more of what we had in store for those 17 brave souls, take a look at the video below that gave people a peek at what this activity would be like. Be sure to turn up your sound and after the first video plays just hit "more" to see the rest.

Wishing you were there? The "indoor mountain" is located at 5155 Harvester Road in Burlington, ON and can be reached at 905-633-ROCK (7625) or of course on their website www.climbersrock.com.
