Renovating For A Healthy Body
When it comes to nutrition, there is no quick fix to getting a better body and being healthy. So strap on your tool belt and pick up your hammer, ‘cause it’s time to “Renovate for a Healthy Body”. What is that old bod’ made up of anyway? On the simplest level, it’s made of a variety of cells that perform specific functions. And what does a healthy body use to make these cells? You guessed it – the food you eat. Yup, you really are what you eat. Did you know that a blood cell lasts 60-120 days? In 3-4 months your entire blood supply is completely replaced. And in just 6 short months all the proteins in your body die and are replaced. In one year all your bones are replaced, and constructed entirely out of the nutrients that you eat. I’ll say it again, You Are What You Eat! Have you ever wondered why you see the same people workingout day in and day out, year after year and they still lookthe same? The reason is simple: Nutrition. If you want to build a better body, you better learn about good nutrition! What you eat is so important, that it is about 80% of whatyou look and feel like. Now that's a big number! You are probably asking yourself, what should I be eating to get the results I want? Healthy eating is an extremely confusing topic. No fat, high fat, low carb, high carb, high protein, low protein, eliminate this and eliminate that,soup diets, fruit diets and everything in between. What are you suppose to eat? To get results keep it simple. You always want to combine a protein and carbohydrate with every meal. You never want to eliminate an entire food group. To get great results,
start tracking what you eat.
You will often under-estimate how much you are actually eating. The best way to improve your eating habits is to write down everything including drinks that pass through your lips. Eating well just takes some planning and a lot of practice and patience. Practice? Yup – practice - so you can get used to making consistent, healthy choices.
